FAQ

Honestly? Yes, tattoos involve needles, so there's discomfort. But pain levels vary by placement - areas with more muscle hurt less than bony spots. Most clients describe it as manageable, like a hot scratching sensation. Yilin works efficiently to minimize time in the chair, and you can take breaks anytime. Many clients say the anticipation is worse than the actual experience.

Every tattoo is priced individually based on size, detail, and placement. Small pieces (2-3 inches) typically start around $150-$200. Medium custom work (4-6 inches) ranges $300-$600. Large pieces or sleeves require multiple sessions and are quoted during consultation. Call us at (312) 731-8659 and we'll give you an honest estimate after discussing your idea.

We never tattoo something you're not 100% happy with. During your consultation, Yilin will sketch your design and make revisions until it's perfect. You'll see the stencil placement on your body before any ink touches your skin. If something's not right, we adjust it. Your satisfaction matters more than rushing to tattoo.

Your safety is non-negotiable. We use single-use sterile needles (opened in front of you), hospital- grade sterilization for all equipment, and follow all Illinois Department of Public Health regulations. The studio is professionally maintained with proper ventilation and sanitation. Yilin has 12+ years experience and takes health protocols seriously. You're always welcome to visit the studio before booking.

Yes, you can bring one support person to your appointment. However, we ask that children stay home - tattoo sessions require focus and can be lengthy. Your support person is welcome to sit nearby, but we keep distractions minimal so Yilin can focus on creating your best tattoo.

Life happens - we understand. We require 48 hours notice to reschedule without losing your deposit. Last-minute cancellations (under 24 hours) forfeit the deposit, as that time slot was reserved specifically for you. Emergency situations are handled case-by-case. Just call or text us as soon as you know, and we'll work with you.
